Bomb report: Historic Taj Mahal closed immediately

The historic Taj Mahal in India has been closed due to a bomb report.

According to Indian media, the Taj Mahal has been closed following reports of a bomb in Agra and the Taj Mahal has been immediately evacuated from tourists.

According to a statement issued by Indian media, an unidentified man reported the possession of explosives over the phone, prompting the CRPF and local police to take action and immediately closed both gates of the Taj Mahal.

The media report said that a search operation has been launched on the basis of the call received by the police and investigation of the alleged phone call has been started.

The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort were closed last March due to the corona virus and reopened in September after a six-month shutdown.

Due to the global epidemic, the administration has allowed 5,000 tourists to enter the Taj Mahal in one day, of which 2,500 arrive before 2pm and 2,500 after 2pm.
