A father has killed his two daughters and committed suicide in the United States. Oklahoma is witnessing an increase in domestic violence.
In the Oklahoma incident, David, 56, shot and killed his 14- and 19-year-old daughters and then took his own life.
David's wife was in the office when she called police to say she had spoken to her husband on the phone shortly before, threatening to kill her daughters and herself.
The wife allowed police to enter the house and said she heard gunshots.
The two girls and 56-year-old David were found dead when police entered the home.
The woman said that her marriage was in trouble and her husband had threatened her before but he was refraining from doing anything.
Police say a domestic dispute was reported from David's home in 2017, in which police were called.
On the other hand, the executive director of the US Domestic Violence Intervention Services says that during the Corona epidemic and lockdown, domestic disputes have escalated and violence is on the rise.
"Our services are for people who are suffering from domestic problems, we are just a free call away," he said. It is important to make people aware that they should seek help instead of resorting to violence.
