A US military helicopter has crashed, killing three pilots.
According to US media, the military helicopter crashed in the state of Idaho where three pilots belonging to the Army National Guard were killed. Among the dead pilots were two senior pilots with more than 10 years and thousands of hours of flying experience.
Col. Christopher Burt of the National Guard says the helicopter was last contacted at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, after which a search was launched at 8 p.m. The bodies of the slain pilots were shifted to the hospital after the rescue operation was completed at around 12.30 pm.
Authorities say the cause of the crash is not yet known, but further investigation is underway into whether the crash was caused by fog or snow.
