Bollywood's most popular actress Kajol explained the reason for her father's unwillingness to marry Ajay Devgn.
According to Indian media reports, Kajol said in a recent interview that "my father was against marrying me at the age of 24. My father wanted me to build my career before I got married."
"My mother has always been my supporter and my mother was my biggest supporter when it came to marrying Ajay Devgn. She supported me in my decision," Kajol was quoted as saying.
The Bollywood actress said, "My mother told me, do what your heart desires and then I listened to my heart at my father's request."
"My mother is also my best friend. She always explained everything to me correctly and I valued her."
"My mother often lacked time because of her job, but she would still find time for me and sit next to me and explain," he added.
Kajol married Ajay Devgn on February 24, 1999. They have two children, daughter Nisa and son Yag.
After the birth of her daughter in 2003, Kajol has appeared in several films, including 'Fanaa', 'You Me and Us', 'My Name Is Khan' and many more.
On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are considered to be the best couple in Bollywood.
