Turkey's new communications satellite, Turkish 7 5A, has been successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Base in the US state of Florida at 5:15 a.m. Turkish time.
Turkey's fifth-generation satellite, the Turkish 7-A, has been launched into space by a SpaceX firm's Falcon 9 rocket.
Minister of Communications and Infrastructure Adil Qara Ismailoلوlu told a meeting of the seven Turkish firms at their Ankara campus that the Turkish communications satellite is moving towards its orbit. The first signal was received 35 minutes after the flight from the communications planet. It is on a journey that will last for 4 months. After that experiments will be done and the satellite will become active.

Explaining that work is also underway on local and national Turkish Sat 6A, the minister said that Turkish Sat 6A is planned to be launched into space in early 2022.
"Continuing this development, work will begin on sending Turkish astronauts into space. Our new generation has a keen interest in this field and we will see this progress in the years to come," he added.
Turkish Seven 5A has the right to provide services in its orbit for 30 years and has a geography of 31 degrees east orbit covering Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Central West Africa, South Africa, the Black Sea and the Aegean Sea. I will be used for television broadcasting and digital data communication services.
