Quetta's Anjuman-e-Tajiran has announced a shutter down strike tomorrow against the Machh tragedy. President Traders Association Abdul Rahim Kakar said that they were going on strike in solidarity with the Hazara community.
The President of Anjuman-e-Tajiran said that no matter how much the Machh tragedy is condemned, providing security to the people is the first responsibility of the government. All trade and business centers in Quetta will be closed during the shutter down strike.
It is to be noted that 11 miners belonging to the Hazara community were brutally strangled to death in Machh on Sunday morning after which their families have staged a sit-in by placing the bodies on the Western Bypass. The victims demanded that Prime Minister Imran Khan come to Quetta and issue orders for immediate approval of their demands, after which they will bury their loved ones.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister in his message today appealed to the Hazara community to bury the dead and will soon come to Quetta to meet them.
