Private TV, citing sources, claimed that the Pakistani government had contacted Broadsheet to seek confirmation of the court's decision. The government has also asked Broadsheet to confirm Kave Mousavi's statements as he had stated that the verdict should be made public.
According to sources, under British law, the decision can be made public if the parties agree.
