Another MiG-21 aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed.
According to Indian media, an Indian Air Force MiG-21 crashed in Suratgarh near the Pakistani border in the state of Rajasthan. The plane caught fire as it took off and landed in Agra. The pilot successfully ejected before the plane crashed, causing no casualties.
According to the Indian Air Force, a Court of Inquiry has been constituted to determine the cause of the accident.
During a training sortie in the western sector, a MiG-21 Bison aircraft experienced a major technical malfunction this evening. The pilot ejected safely at about 2015 hrs. There is no loss of life. An Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
