An Abu Dhabi resident has been found guilty of defamation and invasion of privacy after sharing a copy of the court ruling on Instagram with the name of a man in the document.
According to Abu Dhabi Civil First Instance Court records, a man, after viewing the woman's Instagram post, filed a lawsuit alleging that the convict and her name were the same.
The lawsuit alleges that the woman defamed my name on social media and misbehaved, for which a fine of 200,000 dirhams was paid.
The court found the woman guilty and ordered her to pay 20,000 dirhams in damages.
