Imran Khan inaugurated a shelter for homeless Pakistanis built by Tika

 

The Turkish Co-ordination and Cooperation Agency (TICA) has opened the shelter, which will begin construction in October, to provide free housing to those in need in Pakistan.

The inaugural ceremony held at Tarnol Mohalla in the capital Islamabad was attended by a large number of dignitaries including Prime Minister Imran Khan, Turkish Ambassador to Islamabad Mustafa Yorda Kal, Tika Pakistan Coordinator Gaik Khan Ummat.

Imran Khan inspected the shelter and sought information from Turkish authorities. "We have always felt Turkey's cooperation," he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Saima Nishtar, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Poverty Reduction and Social Security Affairs, said that the sanctuary would remain an important symbol of friendship between the two countries.

Turkish Ambassador to Turkey Yorda Kal said that he was proud of Tika's services and said, "We are very happy if Turkey, Tika and the Turkish Embassy are doing their part in the fight against Pakistan's development and poverty." It's about. "

Tika's top official said that the shelter project has been interpreted as an embarrassment for the homeless people. Under this project, accommodation will be provided to 100 people daily and breakfast and dinner services will be provided to 500 people daily.
