How much money has the NAB recovered in the last ten years?

 

The Law Ministry has submitted a report to the Senate based on the details of the amounts recovered by the NAB, stating that Rs 480 billion has been recovered in the last ten years.

A meeting is underway under the chairmanship of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani during which the Ministry of Law has submitted a written reply to the Senate. The reply said that NAB has recovered Rs 480 billion in ten years, amount pledging, bank default, debt refinancing. In terms of scheduling and court fines, the NAB recorded the amounts between 2011 and October 2020.

In reply, it was stated that NAB has recovered Rs 46.38 billion directly while Rs 395.48 billion was recovered from other sources. NAB made the highest number of recoveries in 2020, Rs 24.81 billion in 2020. In the reply submitted by the Ministry of Law, it was stated that the highest recovery was made by NAB Lahore, NAB Lahore recovered Rs 10.89 billion.

Senator Javed Abbasi said that it is a parliamentary right to ask a question, the Federal Minister is insulting the Parliament, everyone knows how the plebiscite was done. Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan During the meeting, he said that NAB has made a historic recovery in the last two years, there has never been such a recovery in the past, the Prime Minister and we are against the plebiscite, it is a stigma that should end.
