Hezb-e-Wahdat leader Karim Khalili will pay a two-day visit to Pakistan today. According to a Foreign Office spokesman, during the visit, Karim Khalili will hold meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and other officials.
According to Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, Karim Khalili's visit to Pakistan is part of a policy of liaison with the Afghan political leadership. The policy aims to strengthen common thinking and people-to-people contacts for the Afghan peace process. Pakistan has long-standing historical, religious, cultural and traditional ties with Afghanistan.
The Foreign Office spokesman said that Pakistan supports all efforts for the prosperity, peace and stability of the Afghan people.
