Famous Indian car designer Dilip Chaparia has been remanded in police custody for one day. Chaparia was arrested by the police on charges of fraud and forgery.
It is learned that Mumbai Police has arrested Dilip Chaparia on the complaint of well-known comedian and Kapil Sharma show host Kapil Sharma and it is likely that Chaparia will be questioned regarding the case.
Earlier, local magistrate SB Bhaji Pale remanded Dilip Chaparia in police custody for investigation on a one-day remand. Kapil Sharma had lodged an FIR against Chaparia on charges of fraud.
Chaparia was earlier arrested by police on December 29 on charges of illegal financing of car financing and double registration, and was remanded in judicial custody on January 7. However, after a case was registered by Kapil Sharma, the Crime Intelligence Unit of the Mumbai Police has started an investigation against Chaparia.
