According to Indian media, bird flu has spread to Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. In addition, samples have been sent to Delhi and Maharashtra for confirmation of bird flu, which are awaiting reports.
Bird flu has been confirmed in chickens in two poultry farms in Panchkula district of Haryana. Bird flu has been confirmed in crows and wild birds in Surat district of Gujarat and Sarwahi district of Rajasthan, while reports of uncommon deaths of 86 crows have been received in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.
Wild bird deaths have also been reported in Nahan, Blisspura, and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh, after which samples have been sent to laboratories for testing.
