Iran says it has achieved record exports of petroleum products despite US sanctions. Donald Trump wanted us to die and our exports to reach zero.
According to Iranian media reports, Iran has said that it has achieved record exports of petroleum products despite US sanctions, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar claimed in an interview.
"Former US President Donald Trump and his foreign secretary Mike Pompeo have gone down in history, but we are alive and working with more hope to rebuild the country," he said.
"The enemy and Donald Trump wanted us to die and our exports to reach zero. We set the highest export record in the history of the oil industry during the embargo period," he added.
It is estimated that Iran will export less than 300,000 barrels of oil in 2018, compared to 2.8 million barrels per day.
Iran has significantly increased its exports of petroleum products in recent years, although petroleum products, like crude oil, are subject to US sanctions.
