Central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Salman Butt has passed away

 

Central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Hafiz Salman Butt has passed away.

Hafiz Salman Butt had been ill for the past several days and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Lahore. He was kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to heart ailment but died between Thursday and Friday night.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami spokesman Qaiser Sharif, Hafiz Salman Butt's funeral prayers will be offered in Mansura after Friday prayers.

Hafiz Salman Butt has twice been a member of the National Assembly from Jamaat-e-Islami. He has also held several positions in the congregation.
