Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz reached Quetta where they expressed solidarity with the Hazara community protesters who had been protesting against the killing of 11 miners in Machh for five days. They are sitting in a sit-in.
Apart from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maryam Nawaz, Sindh Chief Minister and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani also addressed the protesters on the occasion.
Addressing the participants of the sit-in, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, "I am with you once again in Hazara Town with great sorrow and regret. Whenever we come to Balochistan and Quetta, we do not come for our happiness or politics but They come because of your grief and because of the terrorist incident.
He said, "What can I say to the Hazara brothers and sisters, what can I say, Pakistan is a country, there is a land where even the martyrs have to protest, there are people living in Pakistan where everything has become expensive but The blood of the people is cheap. 2,000 people have been martyred since 1999 but not a single martyr has received justice.
He said, "Even in the government of our elders, there was a protest in Hazara Town with the bodies of 100 martyrs. You had put forward your demands even then. We sacked the provincial government. Our federal government is gone. The government came and you protested with the martyrs again, now it is Khan's government and you are protesting with the martyrs again and your demand is the same, you should be allowed to live.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, "I am also from the family of martyrs but we have not brought justice to our martyrs till date. What kind of justice and this is the country where massacres take place by looking at ID cards. Where the families of our martyrs also have to constantly protest with the bodies, but we can not bring them justice of a martyr.
"How can we respond to the whole world when we cannot provide protection and justice to our oppressed, we cannot give our people the right to live, unless the state can protect life, it cannot be called a state '.
He said that there is injustice in our Hazara community in employment and government posts, now there is injustice in educational institutions but now we are only demanding justice and right to life, we are demanding from the entire state. You said that the National Action Plan will be implemented and we will break the back of terrorism. We promised the children of the APS tragedy that we will eradicate terrorism, but if terrorists are still carrying out attacks And when extremism is taking place, our National Action Plan has also failed and the backs of terrorists have not been broken.
"Certainly terrorists are getting help from abroad but it is a failure of the state that conspiracies are being hatched from abroad and our citizens are being killed. You cannot bring justice to these victims," he said. So who will we bring? '
Addressing the gathering, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said, "We wanted to share your grief immediately. We have joined the sit-in immediately after our court appearance."
He said, "Such incidents happen day after day but the culprits are not caught. I express my sorrow on behalf of my party, the people and myself. I pray to Allah to raise the ranks of the martyrs and give them a place in Paradise." ۔
Earlier, the Sindh Chief Minister demanded the government to arrest the killers as soon as possible and punish them severely.
If the Prime Minister cannot come to Quetta, the people will not allow him to sit in Islamabad either, Maryam Nawaz
Later, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz expressed her condolences to the families of the victims of the Machh incident and said, We have been watching all this on TV for five days now, we feel your pain, I don't know where to start and in what words to express my sorrow and grief. Because only he who passes by knows.
"We and the entire nation share in your grief, but I realize that we cannot understand what has happened to you and what has befallen you,"
"A girl was saying to an insensitive person, 'I will not bury my father until you come,'" he said. "Among the dead is the body of a child who went to college to collect his vacation fees." I went to work.
Maryam Nawaz said, "The job of the state is to protect. Imran Khan, people are waiting for you with their bodies. They are calling for an insensitive person. They do not have time to come. Extremely indifferent to the insensitivity of the person in power." Unfortunately, it is your duty to share in their grief and share their grief. If you avoid it by saying insensitivity and politics, we will not let it happen.
"Prime Minister Imran Khan will have to come here. If he cannot come to Quetta, the people will not allow him to sit in Islamabad,"
