We have heard in the news about the smuggling of mobile phones and drugs inside the jails, but last year a man was caught smuggling something into the UK and taking it with him to jail, which is hard to believe. According to Mail Online, the incident took place in Birmingham where the man was taken to court where he was searched and a samosa was found in his underwear.
When police officers asked why he had smuggled the samosas, the accused said, "I don't like the food given to the inmates in the jail, so I brought the samosas with me." West Midlands Police Inspector Manj Ahir said "We see some very strange incidents while on duty, but the man hiding the samosa in his underwear is such an event that we will probably never forget it for the rest of our lives." Once we released a man after detaining him for a few days, he came to us with a box of chocolates. He said he wanted to give the officers a gift of chocolates for the way he was treated in prison.
