Police in Punjab's Layyah district has registered a case against nine accused for allegedly gang-raping a woman, her two daughters and daughter-in-law after abducting them.
A petition filed by a woman resident of Chobara Tehsil in Layyah said she was detained and raped by nine people, including her two daughters and daughter-in-law.
He added that his son ran away with a girl after which the accused assured him that the matter would be settled amicably.
The victim said that the accused brought the women of her family to their house and detained them.
He said that during his nine-month imprisonment, nine people sexually abused him, his two daughters and his daughter-in-law.
He further said that the accused finally forced their thumbprints on a plain piece of paper.
According to the police, the affected women have been rescued while a criminal case No. 620/20 has been registered under section 376 of the PPC on the complaint of the woman.
"An investigation has been launched and progress will be made soon," the SHO said.
On the other hand, accused Zahid Magsi while talking to media has declared all the allegations made as baseless.
He said the petitioner sold his 4 acres of land to Anila Firdous's parents for compensation, who ran away with the woman's son.
