The selection committee of the national cricket team has been dissolved while the tenure of head coach Misbah-ul-Haq as a chief selector has also ended.
According to private TV, the PCB dissolved the selection committee. Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq's tenure as a chief selector has also come to an end, after which the announcement of a new selection committee and the chief selector is expected in the next few days.
Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq was also the chief selector of the national cricket team till November 30. However, now he will only work as head coach. Misbah-ul-Haq had chosen the post of head coach from both the posts.
The PCB has decided to form a new selection committee in the old style. The new selection committee will consist of the chief selector and three members who will take the opinion of the provincial coaches in the selection of the team. Former Test cricketer Mohammad Akram is a strong candidate for the new chief selector. The announcement of the new chief selector is expected next week.
