The Meteorological Department said that the severity of cold is likely to increase from Sunday, breaking the 7-year record of cold.
According to a private TV channel, a spokesman for the Meteorological Department said that strong winds are likely to blow in Karachi from Sunday due to which the wind speed may increase up to 45 km per hour. A new wave of westerly winds will enter Pakistan on Saturday, after which the cold snap will intensify in Karachi from Monday to Wednesday and at least three days can be recorded in single digits. The 7-year record of cold in Karachi may be broken. In 2013, the minimum temperature in Karachi has been recorded at 6 degrees Celsius. Another Western series is expected to enter the country in January.
