The upper parts of Balochistan province are in the grip of severe cold. The cold winds in the Chaman area of Balochistan have paralyzed daily life while the Ziarat Valley has been the coldest day of the year and the temperature was recorded at minus 11 degrees Celsius.
The Quetta Valley and its environs are reported to be partly cloudy and cold with dry weather but rain is expected. Apart from Quetta Valley, Chaman, Ziarat, Harnai, Kan Mehtarzai, Muslim Bagh, Mastung, Kalat and other districts also received rain On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snow in Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while a new wave of cold is expected in Karachi from Monday.
