Cricketer Suresh Raina, singer Guru Randhawa, and fashion designer Suzanne Khan were reportedly arrested and later released on bail for violating corona virus rules from a club in Mumbai, India.
Suzanne Khan, the ex-wife of actor Riteish Roshan, an interior and fashion designer, was also arrested, an official said.
Now, however, Suzanne Khan has denied the news of the arrest in a statement, citing media speculation.
Riteish Roshan's ex-wife has issued an official statement following reports of his arrest in a Mumbai nightclub for violating social distance rules.
According to the report of Times of India, Suzanne Khan has released her position by sharing a long post on social media.
She called her post "my humble explanation", wrote in her post that she was not arrested and praised the Mumbai police.
"Last night I went to a close friend's birthday dinner and some of us went to the Dragon Fly Club at JW Marriott," Suzanne Khan wrote.
He said that the officials entered the club at half-past one in the night, the management of the club and the officials were resolving the issues among themselves and all the guests present there were asked to wait for 3 hours.
"We were finally allowed to leave at 6am," Suzanne Khan said.
He said that the speculations made by the media about the arrest were wrong and irresponsible.
"I failed to understand why we were told to wait or what the problem was between the authorities and the club management,"
Yesterday, Sahar police station senior inspector S Mann had said that "the dragon fly club near Mumbai airport was raided at half past one in the night".
"We noticed that the guests and management at the club were not following the lockdown rules, as they were not wearing masks or there was no social distance,"
"We arrested 34 people, including seven staff members," the senior police inspector said.
