President Recep Tayyab Erdogan has called on the European Union to recognize friend and foe in its strategic affairs and not to ignore an important country like Turkey in its blind friendship with any country.
Addressing a parliamentary group of the Justice and Development Party in Ankara, he said that if the EU's attitude remained the same, Turkey would withdraw from the EU agreement.
President Erdogan expressed hope that next year Turkey will enter a new era of relations with the United States and the European Union.
He called on US President-elect Joe Biden to focus on Turkish-US relations. He hoped that Joe Biden would pay special attention to the relations between the two countries. Turkey has no enmity, hostility, or enmity with any country. If a country extends a hand of friendship to Turkey, we welcome it by taking two steps forward. He said that Turkey has the same policy as Europe.
