North Carolina: People who say they smoke one or two cigarettes a day can also get into the habit. This was revealed by Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and Duke University. Research has shown that now if a person smokes one to four cigarettes a day and does not consider himself addicted to it, it will be wrong because they have become addicted to smoking and they do not realize it.
Dr. Jonathan Folds, head of the research survey, says that most of the time we consider only ten smokers a day to be addicted, but this is not true. That the number of cigarettes increases. In this regard, Jason Oliver of Duke University believes that doctors do not ask more questions from smokers but firstly there are dangers and secondly they will be called nicotine addicts. This is because even a daily smoker finds it difficult to break the habit.
The study looked at data from public health institutions and carefully studied 6,700 people who had some form of smoking. When one to four smokers were surveyed daily, 66% of them were found to be addicted to cigarettes that met all the criteria for smoking addiction. Details of the study were published December 22 in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
