Interpol has warned the world about possible counterfeiting of the corona vaccine, with Interpol issuing orange notices regarding possible counterfeiting, theft, and illegal advertising.
Notices have been issued by Interpol to 194 countries, including Pakistan. FIA officials have confirmed to Geo News that Pakistan has also received notices.
The Interpol notice states that at such times, criminal gangs could affect the vaccine supply chain. As preparations for the corona vaccine continue, criminal elements have also become active, a threat that exists online and in general. Interpol's Orange Notice represents a serious threat to public safety.
According to Interpol, criminal elements are planning to infiltrate or disrupt the supply chain, with many vaccines close to final approval and global distribution, and to ensure the safety of the vaccine supply chain as well as the illegal web of counterfeit products. It will also be important to identify sites.
According to Interpol, co-ordination between law enforcement agencies and the health sector is essential to address this.
An Interpol notice said the cybercrime analysis revealed nearly 3,000 websites linked to online pharmacies and suspected of being involved in the illegal sale of drugs and medical devices.
