An earthquake has shaken the eastern province of Al-Azigh, at 9:37 a.m. Turkish time.
Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu confirmed the quake in a tweet, saying there were no casualties.
Turkey quake death toll rises to 26
According to Turkish media, the magnitude of the quake was 5.3 with its epicenter 23 km away from Al-Azigh. However, tremors were also felt in other provinces.
Turkish media say no damage was immediately reported from the quake.
A magnitude 6.8 earthquake in the same area in January this year killed 41 people.
