Facebook-owned WhatsApp has announced that it will soon introduce a feature that will ask users if they want to keep messages or if they want the messages to be deleted automatically after 7 days.
WhatsApp, which is used by 2 billion people worldwide, says that WhatsApp messages are now stored on the phone indefinitely, remembering those moments by watching old conversations with your friends, family and relatives. It feels good to do, but there are also many messages that we don't want to be with us forever.
The company says that our goal is to make conversations on WhatsApp as private as possible, so in this case messages should not always be present on the phone and that is why we are introducing a new feature on WhatsApp which Will allow users to delete unsolicited messages. WhatsApp says it has set a time limit of 7 days so that users who want messages on their phone not to be saved for life will be able to retrieve a message in the meantime. If they feel the need to read, they can see what they are talking about.
WhatsApp has taken this step to increase the number of rapidly declining users again as the majority of young people are spending more time on SnapChat, TikTok. Instagram is also becoming very popular among the youth.
