Turkey will soon launch its National Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, a joint effort of public, private and educational institutions, the Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology said in a statement.
"As Turkey, we are making every effort to develop AI around the world," Mustafa Vrank said at a joint Turkish-Hungarian conference on artificial intelligence and high technology.
He added that Turkey wants to develop a comprehensive policy that promotes social welfare, human values and a fair legal framework.
"We will place special emphasis on the most important aspects of AI policies, such as scientific research, ethics and inclusion, and digital infrastructure," Mustafa added.
The government is in the process of setting up its National Artificial Intelligence Institute. Mustafa says Turkey and Hungary share common views on AI policies
