Thief arrested for ordering items online



A young man has been arrested for trying to fool a grocery store owner in the southeastern part of the Indian capital.


According to Indian media reports, a 24-year-old man who became a customer at a grocery store in Lajpat Nagar, southeast of Delhi, fooled a naive employee working at the store.


Police arrested a youth from Dakshinpuri on Friday, identified as Vikash.


According to police officials, a shopkeeper named Atal Bajaj lodged a complaint on Thursday. In which he said that a resident of Lajpat Nagar ordered him some goods.


When the delivery boy arrived at the address with the goods, he met a young man named Vakash who said that he was the driver of the landlord.


"Vakash took the goods and the balance amount of Rs 1,700 from the delivery boy and said that he was bringing Rs 2,000."


According to the shop owner, the delivery boy stood there and waited for a long time but no one came. When we contacted to confirm the house, it was found that no one from the house had placed any order.


After registering the shopkeeper's complaint, the police traced the mobile number and obtained CCTV footage and started investigation and then arrested the accused with the help of the footage.


During the interrogation, the accused said that for the last two years, he has been ordering items of his choice by posing as a customer and he chooses items that cost less than Rs. Don't file a complaint with the police.
