A local South Korean court has ordered the event management to pay compensation to fans for not playing world football star Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to the details, an exhibition match was played between the Italian football club and the Korean football league team in Seoul, the capital of South Korea in July last year and the match ended in a 3-3 draw. The administration had also announced the participation of Cristiano Ronaldo for the match and 65,000 spectators were present on the ground to watch the match while all the tickets were sold out in 3 minutes despite having expensive tickets.
Tickets for the match ranged from 30,000 Korean won (4,300 Pakistani rupees) to 400,000 Korean won (58,000 Pakistani rupees). Cristiano Ronaldo was also present on the ground for the Italian club in this match, but despite the publicity, he was not fed in the match on which the fans expressed their grief and anger and 162 fans reached the court.
Seoul's Central District Court has ruled that the administration should return half the amount of match tickets and pay 50,000 Korean won (approximately 7,200 Pakistani rupees) in damages. The court ruled that fans hoping to play Ronaldo in the match had suffered emotionally.
