Russian Special Forces 'Contingent' has reached Pakistan where it will take part in the exercises.
According to ISPR, Russian Special Forces contingent has reached Pakistan. Here they will take part in 5 joint Druzba exercises. These exercises will continue for 2 weeks.
A Pakistan Army spokesman said the exercises were aimed at sharing experiences of counter-terrorism between the two forces. Skydiving and hostage-taking operations will be an important part of these exercises.
It may be recalled that the first joint military exercise called Dozba was held in Pakistan in 2016. In 2018, Pakistan hosted the fourth exercise. The second and fourth exercises took place in Russia in 2017 and 2019
