In Kot Addu Tehsil, a mother allegedly strangled her 2-year-old daughter to death on suspicion of her husband. Upon receiving the report, the police arrested the accused and recovered the murder weapon and registered a case against the father. An investigation has been launched.
In the FIR, the woman's husband and the girl's father said that he was standing outside his house with some people after returning from work when suddenly there was a noise of alcohol coming from the house and his 2 sons left the house. When he saw the children running away, he entered the house and saw his wife lying on the ground with her 2-year-old daughter, turning the knife and the girl's throat was covered in blood. She escaped while the girl had a deep cut on her neck and was bleeding profusely.
The man claimed that his wife suspected that he had remarried, which led to the move.
