Indian Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat has said that India's border dispute with China could turn into a major battle at any time.
According to private TV, in an online address, General Bipin Rawat said that China and India are holding commander-level talks but the situation on the Line of Actual Control (LoC) remains tense. The possibility of turning into a big fight cannot be ruled out. The two armies will face each other for the first time in winter at an altitude of thousands of feet due to India-China tensions.
It may be recalled that a former BJP MP from Ladakh area of Occupied Kashmir has claimed that the Chinese army has infiltrated into Indian territory and occupied more places at Finger 2 and 3 on the north bank of Pangong Lake. Chuang told The Hindu that residents near the Line of Actual Control (LoC) told him that the situation on the border was "worrying". The area was not completely vacated.
It is believed that tensions are rising between India and China on the Line of Actuality. Some time ago, China had deployed several Indian troops in a clash with India and several soldiers were injured.
