After the start of the crushing season in Pakistan, the price of sugar started falling sharply.
According to private TV, a sack of sugar has become cheaper by Rs 1,500 in the wholesale market. Dealers of Jodia Bazaar say that the sack of sugar has come down from Rs 9,500 to Rs 8,000.
Keep in mind that a sack of sugar weighs 100 kg, so the wholesale rate of sugar has gone up to Rs 80 per kg. On the other hand, sugar is getting Rs 92 in retail.
