Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has issued checks of appreciation to the national athletes who won medals for Pakistan in the South Asian Games 2019.
According to details, on the special instructions of Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza, Director PSB Coaching Center Karachi Rafiq Pirzada distributed checks among the players. Female badminton player Mahur Shehzad was given checks of Rs 125,000, international boxer Gulzeb Rs 500,000, women international boxers Mehreen Baloch and Razia Bano Rs 250,000 and Rs 250,000 respectively.
Mahur Shehzad was part of the Pakistan team that reached the semi-finals of the 2019 Women's Badminton Team event at the South Asian Games in Kathmandu, Nepal. Palwasha Bashir, Huma, Sehar and Ghazala were also part of the team. International boxer Gulzeb had won a silver medal in the 69 kg weight category while competing against an Indian boxer. Mehreen Baloch had won bronze medals for Pakistan in the 56 kg and Razia Bano 52 kg events.
