The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the best players of the last decade.
Among the big names in world cricket, former captain Misbah-ul-Haq and Pakistani league spinner Yasir Shah have also been nominated for the award.
The ICC has nominated Pakistani league spinner, Yasir Shah, for the best Test player of the decade and Misbah-ul-Haq in the Spirit of Cricket category.
The ICC has made various nominations for the best players of the last 10 years in Test, ODI, and T20 formats.
* The best players of the decade will be selected based on their performances between 2011 and October 7, 2020. Cricket lovers can vote for their favorite player until December 16.
India's Virat Kohli and Ashwin, England's Jorot, Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara, Australia's Steve Smith, South Africa's AB de Villiers, and New Zealand's Ken Williamson have been nominated in the Player of the Decade category.
The Best Test Player category includes Pakistan's Yasir Shah, England's James Anderson, and Jorot, Sri Lanka's Rangana Herath, India's Virat Kohli, Australia's Steve Smith, and New Zealand's Ken Williamson.
The seven best players in ODI cricket include India's MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Sri Lanka's Leith Malinga, Sangakkara, Australia's Mitchell Starc, and South Africa's AB de Villiers.
Chris Gayle of West Indies, Erin Finch of Australia, Malinga of Sri Lanka, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, Imran Tahir of South Africa, and Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma of India will compete for the T20 Cricketers' Award.
Nine players, including two women, have been nominated for the ICC 'Spirit of Cricket Award', including former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
Others include New Zealand's Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori, Ken Williamson, Sri Lanka's Jayawardene, India's Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and the women's England's Catherine Burnett and Anya Sherbasol.
