In Lebanon, 70 inmates broke down prison doors, attacked guards and escaped. However, five of the escaped prisoners died in an accident.
According to media reports, police said that 70 prisoners escaped from the Babda jail on the outskirts of Beirut, but five of them died when their car crashed into a tree due to high speed.
Police say 15 of the escaped prisoners have been recaptured.
In addition, four detainees turned themselves in to police. An operation is underway to arrest the remaining prisoners.
