Leading cricketer who won the West Indies T20 World Cup twice has announced his retirement.

 

Cricketer Marlon Samuel, who has won the West Indies T20 Cup twice, has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. Cricket West Indies chief executive Johnny Grave has confirmed Samuel's retirement.

He was the highest run scorer for the West Indies in the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cups. In the final of two World Cups, Samuel led the team to victory thanks to his excellent innings. In his Test career, Samuel scored seven centuries, including a double century, and 24 half-centuries. He also took 41 wickets in Test cricket. He scored 5606 runs in 207 ODIs and scored 10 half centuries and 30 half centuries in ODI cricket and took 89 wickets. His record in T20 cricket was the best and he scored 67. He scored 1611 runs in 10 matches with the help of 10 half centuries. He took 22 wickets in T20.
