Militants have fired 23 rockets at the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing eight people and wounding 31 others.

According to Al Jazeera TV, rockets were fired in the green zone of Kabul on Saturday, the area where many embassies and offices of international organizations are located. According to Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian, the militants fired rockets at a small truck. An investigation is underway into how the truck entered the city. According to initial reports, 8 people were killed and 31 injured in the attack.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) has denied allegations of involvement in the attack and has made it clear that it does not carry out indiscriminate attacks on public places.
