Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif called the attack on senior nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizada "state terrorism."
It is believed that Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizada was killed in an assassination attempt yesterday. According to Iranian media, Mohsen Fakhrizada was assassinated near Tehran in which he and one of his colleagues were seriously injured. Fakhri was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries. Mohsen Fakhrizada was the head of the Research and Innovation Organization and was running Iran's nuclear weapons program.
