The Foreign Office denied media reports of pressure on Pakistan to recognize Israel.
According to private TV, a statement issued by the Foreign Office spokesman said that the news of US pressure on the Prime Minister to recognize Israel is fabricated. The Prime Minister has clearly stated that Pakistan will recognize Israel until a just solution to the Palestinian issue The spokesperson said that the Prime Minister had emphasized that Pakistan's policy in this regard was based on the vision of Quaid-e-Azam. Pakistan supports a two-state solution to the Palestinian problem in accordance with UN, OIC resolutions and international law.
