A recent poll has revealed that if elections are held in the country today, the PML-N will get more than one per cent of the votes from the PTI, while it has also been revealed that no party will get a majority, a coalition government will have to be formed. The PTI has lost 7% of its popularity since the general election.
A poll by the Institute of Public Opinion Research polled 2,000 people, asking which party would you vote for if the National Assembly elections were held today? In response, 26 per cent said they would vote for the PML-N, 25 per cent for the PTI, 9 per cent for the PPP and 3 per cent for the JUI.
Contrary to the results of the last election, the PTI's popularity has declined by 7%. In the 2018 elections, the PTI won 32%, the PML-N 24% and the PPP 13%, but in November 2020, the PTI 25, PML-N 26 and PPP nine percent of the vote.
