The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a short tour of Pakistan ahead of next year's T20 World Cup.
According to a joint announcement of the English Cricket Board and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the English cricket team will arrive in Pakistan in October next year. The English team will arrive in Karachi on October 12, after which the T20 matches between the two teams will be played in Karachi on October 14 and 15. The English cricket team will visit Pakistan for the first time since 2005.
English Cricket Board chief executive Tom Harrison says he is happy to announce that the England team will play a series in Pakistan in October 2021. Following the short series, the two teams will leave for India on October 16 to participate in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup.
