Punjab Prisons Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan told the Express Tribune that Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz would be released on the payroll as per law to attend the funeral of Begum Shamim Akhtar. Instructions have been issued for his release on the payroll. Release on their payroll will be under the law.
Sources said that Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz could be released on the payroll for one or three days. Both the leaders will be released keeping in view the schedule of burial as soon as the legal process on their payroll application is completed. ۔
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif's mother Begum Shamim Akhtar has died in London. He will be buried in the Sharif family graveyard in Lahore. However, the schedule of arrival and burial of the deceased in Pakistan has not been announced in this regard.
