Due to successive defeats in ODIs, India also lagged behind Zimbabwe and Ireland in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, while Pakistan is currently ranked third.
It should be noted that the International Cricket Council had officially announced the holding of the Men's Cricket World Cup Super League. The World Cup Super League is being held for the first time and it is also the qualifying stage of the 2023 Cricket World Cup. The league was supposed to start in May this year but was postponed due to Corona's situation, after which the league officially started on July 30 with a one-day series between world champions England and Ireland.
There are a total of 13 teams in the Super League, including England, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, India, West Indies, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Afghanistan.
In the Super League, each team will have to play eight ODI series consisting of three ODIs, four of which will be played at home and four abroad.
Currently, Australia is first with 40 points, England is second with 30 points while Pakistan is third with 20 points. India has yet to score a point, while Zimbabwe and Ireland have 10 points each.
