In view of increasing cases of corona, the smart lockdown has been implemented in different districts of Punjab including Lahore. All medical services, pharmacy, medical stores, laboratories, collection points, hospitals, and clinics will remain open 24 hours a day.
According to the Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care, in view of the increasing cases of the corona, the smart lockdown has been implemented in different parts of Punjab. The smart lockdown was installed in 26 areas of Lahore, 15 areas of Rawalpindi, 7 areas of Multan, 5 areas of Layyah, 4 areas of Sargodha, 3 areas of Gujranwala, 4 areas of Faisalabad, 3 areas of Toba Tek Singh, and 2 areas of Mianwali.
Secretary Punjab Health Care Lahore has closed Sector C&D in Wapda Town, Bahria Town, Aghori Block, Umar Block, Shaheen Block, Safari Block, Gul Bihar Block, Gul Mehr Block, Babar Block, Overseas Block, Askari 10. Lockdown is being carried out in DHA Phase 3, X, Y, Z, Phase 5, Sector A&G, Phase 6, Sector D, Cavalry Ground, Street No. 7 and 8. The smart lockdown has been imposed in Punjab Cooperative Housing Society in Block C, D, Askari 15, Tariq Block, Garden Town, Model Town and Fatehgarh areas.
Green Avenue Housing Society, Block C Pir Mumtazabad, Siddique Block Street No. 1 Islampura, Block A Qasim Road Cantt, Sher Shah Road Taunsa Street Garden Town, Gulgasht Colony and Shah Rakn Alam Block C are being closed in Multan.
According to the Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care, all shopping malls, restaurants and offices will be closed in the lock-down areas. Transportation of area residents will be limited, one person will be able to use one ride in case of extreme need. All medical services, pharmacies, medical stores, laboratories, collection points, hospitals, and clinics will be open 24 hours a day. Milk shops, chicken and meat/fish shops, and bakeries will be open from 7 am to 7 pm. Grocery stores, general stores, flour mills, fruit, vegetable shops, ovens, and petrol pumps will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
It may be recalled that the country is currently in the grip of the second wave of coronavirus. According to the NCOC, 2829 cases have come to light in the last 24 hours and 43 people have lost their lives.
