A complete lockdown has been imposed in Azad Kashmir for 15 days to curb the rising severity of the global corona virus, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has approved.
A meeting of the Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan. The Health Secretary gave a detailed briefing on the situation arising out of Corona virus in Azad Kashmir. Cabinet approves complete lockdown in Azad Kashmir for 15 days. The meeting dissolved AKMIDC and approved the merger of the employees and pensioners of the corporation with the Department of Mineral Resources. The meeting also approved the law for NGO regulatory authority.
Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan said that in order to keep the citizens of Azad Kashmir safe and to break the chain of corona virus, it has become necessary for us to take tough but people friendly decision. He appealed to the migrants to postpone their decision to come to Azad Kashmir for 15 days so that our brothers residing in Pakistan do not travel to Azad Kashmir unnecessarily.
"If we suspend our routine for 15 days, there will be no problem. We cannot be negligent in the matter of children. Awareness campaign should be launched in this regard and the decisions of the government should be implemented so that this lock is implemented," he said.
