China has warned critics of the Hong Kong affair to be cautious.
A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the Chinese people do not create problems for anyone and they are not afraid of anyone.
He said efforts by other countries to intimidate or suppress China would fail.
The spokesman said they had to be careful or their eyes would get out. It doesn't matter if there are 5 or 10.
The United States, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Canada have all accused China of trying to silence its critics in Hong Kong. And in Hong Kong, controversial laws have been enacted to disqualify elected members of parliament.
