A man was arrested for trying to attack other leaders including Khaqan Abbasi at the PML-N workers convention in Rawalpindi.
During the PML-N workers' convention, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other central leaders on stage were accused of trying to spread chaos against a suspect who allegedly tried to hit a mobile phone and threatening police with a chained chain. A case has been registered in the crime. During the search of the accused, iron plates were also recovered from the jacket, which has led to an extensive investigation.
The PML-N workers' convention was underway in the Naseerabad police station area when a suspicious person suddenly threw his mobile phone at the central leaders sitting on the stage, including former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other leaders.
The leaders were safe in the attack and the mobile phone collided with a drink flax installed there. Later, the police apprehended the suspect Afzal from Kotha Kalan. Naseerabad police station registered a case against the accused in which ASI Saqib Khan posted at the security of Workers Convention wrote that the accused was apprehended and taken to the parking lot, then the accused hid a chain hidden in his jacket with five bullets on his head. He was taken out and threatened that if anyone came near, he would suffer a loss and the chain was seized from him.
According to the police, a search of the jacket turned up four different plates of iron and galvanized sheet from the pockets of the accused. The act of the accused caused severe disturbance and danger of disturbing the peace. A case was registered against him. A large-scale investigation has been launched.
